This futon is Queen Size, 3" thick x 60" wide x 80" long. A few consumer reviews said that the queen size is a bit smaller than what you would expect in a standard queen mattress. But the other reviews said that the size is as advertised.  The futon also work great with regular queen size sheets. It rolls nicely.  The rolled up size is 5 feet long by about 3 1/2 feet wide and probably about 1-2 feet in diameter depending how tightly you roll it up.

This futon is filled with white cotton battings, two fiber layers and a layer of foam. It's sufficiently padded but still being extra supportive and firm. The futon is very comfortable, but if you want it a little bit softer, you can add a few comforters under it. Sometimes, the cotton from the inside of the futon moves around. You can shake it out to readjust the insides.

The cover is made of 100% polyester. Unfortunately, the cover is not removable. But you can cover it with a sheet for a long term use. You can go to a laundry mat if you really have to wash it.

The futon is very comfortable and perfect for those who like firm sleeping situations. The price is also perfect for college student budget. It rolls up easily and lights enough to carry. Some reviews mentioning a strange odor. But the smell goes out by itself after a few days.

The size of J-Life Japanese Traditional Shiki Futon is also Queen size 60”x80”, but with 4” thickness. The inside is made of all cotton batting. There is no foam, wool or innerspring. Covered with a tough 7 ounce twill material that will ensure the shikifuton will stand up to daily use for many years. The producer also provide optional removable custom shiki futon cover in Japanese fabric, but it will come with extra charge. The cover is not very smooth. But if you use cover sheet I think all will be okay.

This futon can be folds into thirds for storage comfort. The smell is also really good. This futon have a wonderful balance between softness and firmness that allows you to be comfortable. There is some minor drawback though, the futon is a little bit heavy to position and store.  The shipping time is also a little bit longer than the estimated time, so maybe you want to give plenty of time for shipping.

The bed's size when folding out is 4" thick x 60" wide x 80" long, and when folding up, 12" high x 27" deep x 60" long. It is a foam bed with a soft and durable cover. The cover can be removed and washed. Although, it is better to use a cover sheet if you planned to use this for long term use.

The shikibuton can keep you warm in cold days, but you won’t feel too hot either. There was a minor chemical odor after unpacking that dissipated after 2 days. Some even does not notice the smell.
